Golden Yonder teaches maths, English and science in groups small enough for every student to be heard. Each term starts with a placement session and ends with an honest conversation about what changed.
Every level follows the same rhythm — weekly classes, set practice and a termly review — but the pace and focus change with age. Groups are placed by current working level, not only by school year.
Ages 8 – 11
Building confident foundations: number sense, reading for meaning and clear written answers. Lessons mix short explanations with lots of guided practice.
Ages 12 – 14
Bridging the jump to secondary: algebra, structured essays and scientific method. Students learn to plan their own revision and check their own work.
Ages 15 – 17
Exam-focused and syllabus-mapped. Timed papers, marking against real criteria and targeted work on the topics that cost each student the most marks.
You always know where your child stands and what the next few weeks are for. Nothing is sold on a vague promise of "better grades".
A relaxed 45-minute session with a tutor: a short written task, a conversation and a look at recent schoolwork.
You receive a one-page plan naming three priorities, the group we recommend and what practice looks like at home.
Weekly small-group classes plus a set of practice that should take no more than 30 minutes, marked before the next lesson.
A 15-minute review with the tutor comparing work from week 1 and week 10, and agreeing priorities for next term.
Classes run after school on weekdays and through Saturday morning. Placement decides the group; the timetable decides the day. Tell us your preferred days in the enquiry and we'll match them where we can.
Friday is kept free for marking and one-to-one catch-up sessions arranged by the tutor.
A lesson opens by returning last week's marked practice, so mistakes are fixed while they are still fresh. The tutor teaches one idea properly, then students work while the tutor moves between desks — small groups mean nobody waits long for help.

Let us know in advance and we'll offer a seat in another group at the same level that week where one is free. Notes and the practice set are always sent home either way.

No. It is a short, low-pressure task and a conversation. Its only purpose is to find the right group and priorities; it isn't graded or shared with school.

Upper Secondary groups run timed-paper sessions in the weeks before major exams. These are included for enrolled students and announced at the start of term.
